Welcome!
Amelia Island offers a wide variety of angling opportunities including for large groups, family and for the hard core "Big Game" angler.
Deep sea fishermen will have the opportunity to reel in a wide variety of saltwater species within a short boat ride from the St. Mary's inlet.
However if you enjoy shallow water backcountry fishing, Amelia Island is the spot to test your angling skills! Freshwater bass fishing is excellent in many of Northeast Florida's freshwater rivers and lakes where world record largemouth bass have been recorded.
Amelia Angler Outfitters can schedule fishing and sailing, group charters to Cumberland Island and the "Dungeness" ruins, catered cocktail cruises and family fishing fun.

Daily Fishing Report February 1, 2012
Photo - From left Rob, Chris, father Rob MacKay Sr and wife Aida landed this nice catch of Amelia Island redfish during the Holidays while fishing with "Team Pepsi" Captain Terry Lacoss.
"Amelia Angler Oufitters" was recently showcased on the "Florida SPortsman Fishing Show" Sun Sports channel. Go to www.floridasportsman.com then click on TV shows for up coming shows. The TV show is listed #1 under First Coast.
Best bet- Amelia Island sea trout and red fishing just doesn't get any better during the month of February! Fishing parties are hooking up to limits of excellent eating and fighting redfish and sea trout within eyesight of the Fernandina Harbor Marina. Cooling water temperatures along with an abundant supply of bait fish including mullet, shrimp and blue crabs are key.
Some of the more productive redfish lures including gold spoons, in-line spinners and fishing with Berkley Gulp shrimp dead in the school of reds and slowly on the bottom. Flounder, redfish and sea trout are taking live shrimp drifted under a "Popping Float".
Offshore fishing charters are enjoyng excellent drift fishing action in water depths from 60-100 feet of water. Flounder, black sea bass, reef sharks, cobia, trigerfish, amberjack, gag grouper and red snapper are running at offshore wrecks, ledges and hard bottoms. Captain Terry David Lacoss and fishing party had a banner morning charter including a limit of Gag grouper, king mackerel weighing to 35-pounds and had a visiting 10-foot "Great White" shark swim right up to the stern and fishing party! Keep in mind that the season for grouper, red snapper and black sea bass is closed until May 1st. Blue water charter boats have been catching blackfin tuna weighing to 30-pounds at the "Big Ledge", which requires a 12-hour charter. Wahoo weighing to 70-pounds are also running in water depths from 180-1,000 feet of water. The St. Mary's and area freshwater rivers are holding a mix of black bass, redfish, sea trout and striped bass. This type of fishery holds exciting backcountry fishing where river fishermen are likely to encounter 20-pound stiped bass, or ten pound largemouth bass!
Surf fishing is producing catches of whiting, blues, puppy drum, redfish and spotted sea trout during the last of the incoming and the first few hours of the falling tides. Fish on the bottom with ultra fresh shrimp. Casting a 1/4 ounce led head jig rigged with a 2-inch molten colored Berkley Gulp shrimp is also working well for a variety of sruf species. The 52-M Mirror Lure is an excellent choice when casting to sea trout and blues that are schooling in the surf.
